Booth Empire provided a branded print photo booth for the Matt Rife Stay Golden World Tour stop at Hamilton’s TD Coliseum on December 30, 2025. Booked by HomemadeVIP on behalf of the Stay Golden World Tour, the activation was scoped exclusively to VIP guests attending the Hamilton show and built around a clean white backdrop photo finished with a black frame carrying the tour’s selected Matt Rife imagery.
The VIP Brief
HomemadeVIP came in as the production partner for the Stay Golden World Tour, coordinating the Hamilton date as part of the larger tour run. The brief was narrow and specific: deliver a photo activation for VIP guests only, produce a physical print on the night, and keep the creative clean enough that the tour branding framed the photo without competing with the people in it.
VIP activations on a comedy tour live or die on speed and tone. Guests have paid a premium for the experience, they expect to be treated as the priority audience, and they don’t want to spend their pre-show window standing in a slow line. A print booth with a fast, repeatable flow was the right format choice: high throughput, immediate physical output, and a branded keepsake that connects back to the artist.
Custom Tour Branding on Every Print
The creative was specified directly by the client. HomemadeVIP requested a clean white backdrop photograph finished with a black frame featuring the selected Matt Rife tour imagery. That creative decision does two things at once: the white backdrop keeps the subjects crisp, well-lit, and visually consistent across every print, while the black frame carries the tour branding as a deliberate border rather than a background element.
This is the right structure for a tour activation. The photo is the product; the branding is the frame. When those roles get reversed, when the branding dominates and the guests become secondary, the print stops being something people want to keep. The HomemadeVIP brief avoided that trap by giving each element its own job.
The same print works two ways after the event: as a physical souvenir pinned to a fridge or kept in a memory box, and as a piece of shareable content posted to social with the tour branding attached to it. Both outcomes extend the show past the encore.
Load-In and Setup at TD Coliseum
TD Coliseum is a working arena venue, and a tour-date activation has to slot into the venue’s existing show-day schedule rather than the other way around. Load-in was coordinated through the venue’s north entrance, ahead of the 7:00 p.m. doors, which gave the booth a defined setup window before VIP guests arrived for their pre-show segment.
That timing matters more than it sounds like it should. A booth that isn’t fully tested, branded, and ready the moment the first VIP walks past it creates friction the client can see. For HomemadeVIP, who were managing the broader VIP experience on behalf of the tour, the photo booth had to be invisible operationally: ready when doors opened, producing prints on cue, and clearing out cleanly at the end of the VIP window.
Why Print Booths Work for Comedy Tours
Live entertainment activations get measured against the show itself, and a comedy tour is a particularly tough format because the audience arrives already in a celebratory mood. Anything you put in front of them has to match the energy of the night, not flatten it.
A print photo booth works for comedy tours specifically because the output is tangible, immediate, and tied to the specific date. The guest leaves with something physical in their hand from the Hamilton show, not just a digital file they might never look at again. For a tour audience, that physical artifact is the connection back to the night they saw the show.
The format also scales naturally with the VIP structure. The booth can run for an intimate group of 30 or a packed room of several hundred without changing the creative or the workflow, which is why it travels well across a tour route where every venue is a different size.
