On November 24, 2025, Info-Tech Research Group ran a full-day conference program in the St-Laurent room at the Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth in Montreal. Booth Empire delivered a fully branded print photo booth as part of the program, and the activation produced 92 finished photos across a 12-hour operating day.

What made this activation specific was the brand system. Info-Tech did not settle for a logo overlay on top of a generic booth. Custom artwork was produced and coordinated across three surfaces: the booth’s exterior, the print design, and a matching custom backdrop. All three surfaces shared the same visual language, which turned the booth from a photo station into a piece of Info-Tech’s event environment.

The Brief: A Fully Branded Photo Experience

Info-Tech Research Group works with IT and business leaders, and the brand’s audience is sharp. A standard booth with a logo overlay was not going to read as polished at a venue like the Fairmont. The brief called for full branding, applied as a coordinated visual system rather than as a sticker on top of rental hardware.

The objective was a fully branded photo experience where the booth itself, the prints guests received, and the backdrop in every frame all carried the same artwork. That coordination is what separates a branded activation from a photo booth with a logo on it.

The Coordinated Visual System

The build came together across three coordinated surfaces, each using the same custom artwork:

  • Custom exterior artwork on the booth - the physical hardware carried Info-Tech’s brand identity, not just the photo output
  • Print design - the 92 photos produced during the event carried artwork consistent with the booth and backdrop
  • Matching custom backdrop - the most visible surface in every photo carried the same visual language as the booth exterior and prints

When a guest stepped into the booth, every surface they touched was part of the same design. When they walked out with their printed photo, that print matched the booth they had just left. That kind of visual continuity is what makes a brand activation feel considered, not assembled.

The Artwork and Mockup Process

Production for this activation included custom backdrop artwork and booth mockups shared in advance of the event, so Info-Tech could sign off on the visual system before the booth was built and shipped. That step matters for branded activations: when the booth exterior, prints, and backdrop all carry custom artwork, the design has to be locked in early enough that the production schedule can hit each surface correctly.

The result of that process was a single artwork package applied consistently across the activation, rather than three separate design decisions made in isolation.

A 12-Hour Operating Day at the Fairmont

Logistics shaped the activation as much as the branding. Load-in ran from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m., and the booth operated from approximately 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. - a 12-hour day on site. That is a longer operating window than most activations run, and it affects how the equipment, prints, and on-site staffing are scoped.

For 92 finished photos across a 12-hour window, throughput averaged roughly one photo every eight minutes. That is the right cadence for a conference environment, where guests come and go between sessions, meals, and meetings rather than queuing in a single sustained push. The activation ran at the pace of the event rather than forcing the event to accommodate the booth.

The St-Laurent Room at the Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth

The Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth is one of Montreal’s flagship conference hotels, and the St-Laurent room is one of its principal function spaces. Premium hotel venues carry an implicit standard: the equipment, the booth build, and the on-site crew all have to read as polished as the venue around them.

For Info-Tech, the choice of venue set the tone for what the activation needed to deliver. The fully branded booth - exterior artwork, print design, and matching backdrop - was scoped to that standard.

Client Feedback

After the event, Info-Tech’s feedback was direct: “All the pictures turned out great.” For a fully branded build running across a 12-hour day, that is the outcome the artwork coordination is designed to produce. The 92 finished photos carried the Info-Tech brand consistently across every surface, and the output met the brief.
