FAN EXPO Canada concentrates one of the most participation-ready audiences in the country into a single building - and Hasbro met that audience with motion. Beginning August 21, 2025, Booth Empire operated a 360 video booth in Toronto for Hasbro across three days at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, producing 1,089 branded 360 videos over the run of the convention.
What Hasbro Asked For
The program required a repeatable, high-volume experience that could hold up across three full convention days. Convention floors are demanding environments: heavy foot traffic, long operating hours and an audience - including fans in elaborate costumes - that arrives expecting to participate, not just observe. The activation needed to convert that energy into branded, shareable video content, day after day.
How the 360 Booth Worked
Booth Empire deployed a 360 video booth: guests step onto a platform while a camera orbits them, producing a dynamic video that captures them from every angle. For a convention crowd, the format is close to irresistible - and for cosplayers in particular, a 360 orbit shows off a costume in a way no still photograph can.
Every output carried Hasbro branding, so each of the 1,089 videos left the convention as a small piece of the campaign. The experience turned fan participation into short, shareable video content - created on the show floor, branded at the source and built for the platforms where convention audiences already live.
A 360 Video Booth Built for Three Convention Days
Multi-day conventions test equipment and teams differently than single-night events. The booth had to open on time and perform identically on day one, day two and day three, absorbing convention-scale traffic for the full duration with no off-day to recover or repair.
Producing 1,089 videos across three days means sustaining consistent throughput through crowd surges, costume logistics and long operating hours. The operation was structured for that rhythm: keep the platform cycling, keep the line moving and keep the output standard identical at hour one and hour thirty.
The Tally
- 1,089 branded 360 videos produced
- Three consecutive event days at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre
- Participants included general convention attendees and fans in costume
More than a thousand finished videos from a single activation is a substantial content volume - and because each video was created by a fan and branded for Hasbro, the activation effectively distributed the campaign through the audience itself.
The Outcome
The format rewarded the audience’s effort. Costumed fans invest heavily in their appearance; a 360 orbit is the payoff a still photo cannot provide.
Branded output scaled with participation. Every additional guest meant another branded video in circulation - 1,089 by close of the convention.
Three-day consistency protected the brand. A booth that falters on day two of a convention becomes the story; this one delivered the same experience across the full run.
Convention traffic met a high-throughput design. The operation was built for volume, so busy floor hours translated into output rather than abandoned queues.
